Overall, the top 10 cancer types in both men and women accounted for more than 60% of newly diagnosed cancer cases and cancer deaths, according to the report. The number of new cancer cases in the U.S. is expected to top 2 million for the first time in 2024, based on new research that also points to shifting age patterns among cancer patients and a troubling increase in overall cancer incidence among people younger than 50 . The American Cancer Society’s latest statistical report, released on Wednesday, says the country’s cancer mortality rate fell by 33% from 1991 through 2021. Prostate cancer incidence increased by about 3% per year after experiencing a nearly 40% drop from 2007 to 2014. Overall, researchers project 2,001,140 new cancer cases and 611,720 cancer deaths will occur in the U.S. in 2024. Lisa Lacasse, president of the American Cancer Society’s advocacy affiliate, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, said the report’s findings underscore a need for policies that help to address such disparities.

This isn’t due to a constant need to be in new surroundings and no, I do not own four homes. When I was searching for a new place to live over the summer last year, I messaged more than 180 people and only managed to get six viewings through the entirety of my search. London tenants are paying an average of £2,627 ($3,293) per month for rent – a 12.1% increase over the last year alone. NEW YORK (AP) — Tamirat Tola wasn't thinking about breaking the New York City Marathon course record as he was running by himself in Central Park for the last few miles of the race. Albert Korir of Kenya, who won the 2021 NYC Marathon, finished second nearly two minutes behind Tola. This was a stellar women's field that was expected to potentially take down the course record of 2:22:31 set by Margaret Okayo in 2003. There were talks of breaking the course record and doing all the things, after a bit it was like that’s not going to happen. Catherine Debrunner of Switzerland won her New York debut, shattering the course record in the women's wheelchair race.

Washington and Seoul made a pact at the White House on Wednesday that aims to deter North Korean aggression, including a new US commitment to deploy a nuclear-armed submarine in South Korea for the first time since the early 1980s. Biden and Yoon met this week, with the United States pledging to give South Korea more insight into its nuclear planning over any conflict with North Korea.
